We currently boast over 120 girls with us at HGS going through our training programmes.

Similar to our boys, we have developed a structure that enhances confidence, development & progression. Key stage 1 girls (nursery – year 3) will develop their football within our mixed group sessions and from year 2 will be introduced to our mixed ability league. From year 4, up to year 11 girls are invited into our girls only sessions and our HGS girls only internal league (the only Sunday girls league in London). We also have our Saturday girls team playing in the Hertfordshire Girls League.

We owe these boys a great deal. When I was younger we played in a park and that was about it. This season HGS have taken my sons under 7 team to play Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham. The opportunities and experiences they provide are amazing.

I have 2 daughters that are mad about football. There is not much available for girl’s football compared to boys and we found our girls playing football with the boys. We were introduced to HGS by some friends and these guys provide a wonderful platform for girl’s football. They have their own girl’s league which is fun competitive and a good level. In fact one of my girls was scouted by spurs at one of the HGS training sessions.

We have been with Daryl and Richard from day 1 when there were only a few kids involved. It’s unbelievable really to see how far they have come in what is relatively a short space of time. The level of coaching is very high and they really do care for the kids and their development.

Chris

With the growth of womens football it’s important for our academy to be at the forefront of this with over 120 Girls playing and developing with HGS.

Having created something special through our own girls league it’s important we keep building and developing what we are doing so the platform for girls football continues to thrive . We were recently invited into Tottenham Ladies and Arsenal Ladies for some Football Festivals where our girl teams demonstrated they can compete at the highest level.
